The Salton Sea

On Tuesday, I met up with several amazing photographers for a fun day of pictures at the Salton Sea. Yes, I am talking about the Salton Sea in Indio, CA which smells of dead fish! It really is an amazing site to see and has many beautiful birds. Thanks to Joe Photo for putting this trip together! I definitely had a ball and I can't wait to do it again. Here are just a few pics from the day:

Becky at The Perfect Circle

Thanks to Becky and her fun style, I had one of my favorite shoots to date. She has the greatest little smile and such a fun attitude which made for a smooth and easy day! We went for more of an edgy look in the pictures and just played around with the splendor of the Orange Circle. I just LOVE shooting there! It was the perfect playground for Becky's offbeat/vintage style. Thanks to Alyssa, owner of The Perfect Circle, we had fun dodging the rain by taking most of the pictures in their adorable store. If you haven't already been to The Perfect Circle Cupcakery, you must go as soon as possible and try one. I can't decide which one is my favorite...Sweet Joe or Red Velvet. Yum!!!

Engaged At The Beach

Laguna Beach

Samantha and Michael were here all the way from Columbus, Ohio and had planned ahead for me to take their engagement pictures. Since Michael had been away for three weeks working, Samantha had to pick him up at the airport on the way to our photo shoot! Needless to say, it was really easy to get some steamy shots! We had a great time taking pictures throughout downtown Laguna and then headed over to our own private beach for some quiet time. Oh...and thank you guys for the chocolate covered strawberries. They were delicious!

Well, now that Christmas is long gone I have a few moments to update my blog...yea!
Christmas was fun filled and healthy for us this year. While it was a crazy couple of months, it was also a great time. I worked with a lot of old friends of mine as well as got to meet many new families. It seemed that there was a baby boom in this last year. It was fun to meet so many beautiful new babies! Here is where I left off...

Ok...so I have had a couple of people ask where my latest shoots are and the truth is that I have been blessed with a VERY busy schedule over the last two months. So, I have decided that I am going to upload a couple of my favorites from each shoot to show what my November and December have been! Although, I think I need another day or two to get the pictures together. So, soon, I will get to it!

Whew...it's been so busy...tis the season! I had such a ball taking pictures of little Maddie last week. Not only was it a beautiful day, but Madison was a beautiful baby who also happens to have a beautiful family! I absolutely love this park and always wanted to take pictures here and I finally got to. Thanks to Danielle!

Huntington Beach

Last Saturday, I met up with the H. family at their home in Huntington Beach for some Christmas Card Picture fun. And, let me tell you that it ended up being hilarious!
Bobby is such a cutie pie and just like my own daughter he did not really appreciate me being in his face with a big camera. Pretty typical for a 1-1/2 year old. I got some of my favorite shots ever for putting a great, big smile on my face!

Huntington Beach Central Park

I met up with the K. family in Huntington Beach and was pleasantly surprised at how many different options there were for taking fun and different pictures. Caden and Kaylee were so cute and fun to work with. They actually got along great considering they were siblings and that made it easy to capture some great shots!

This one is just hilarious! I told them to turn around, meaning all of the way around and they both stopped half way around. We were all laughing...I love these moments!

Yesterday I met up with the V. family to take a family portrait at the beach. While we had an idea of what we wanted to get, little Abby had a different idea! As a photographer you really have to go with the flow, especially when it comes to small children and yesterday really proved you don't have to just sit still to get beautiful portraits of the family. I ended up having so much fun watching Abby jump off rocks, look for Ariel and just have the time of her life playing in the sand. All the while, little Nate (who is only a year old) sat on his parents lap and didn't say a word! Here are a few of my quick pick favorites...

I had such a fun time taking pictures of the W. Family. They were so funny and laid back which made for a great shoot. Both kids listened and cooperated the entire time! I think that was a first. I know my kids have never been quite so easy going when it came to pictures. We met at 9:30am on Sunday morning and the timing was perfect because there was no one at the park yet.

Well, this was a gorgeous wedding on a beautiful day with a wonderful bride and groom. What more could I ask for! They were so nice and easy to work with. With Autumns old Hollywood style and Freddy's charismatic personality, it was such a joy to shoot. Thank you!
